Not literally – King’s Landing is totally yours for the duration of your stay with us – but figuratively. We’re here to help you have a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable time on the cut. We provide all guests with a holiday handbook with all the tips, tricks, and tidbits to ensure you know what to do, where to go, and how to make the most of your break. We have included some of our favourite routes and stops along the way in our Epic Handbook – we’ll give you a hard copy when you arrive, but we’ve also included it here for safe-keeping (in case it happens to have a mishap in the canal at any point).
First time? No problem. We’ll have you confident on the canals in no time. Our handbook includes a step-by-step guide to cruising, controlling the boat, and navigating the quirks of the canal. We’ll give you hands-on training when you arrive on everything from turning the tiller to operating a lock – that’s if you aren’t already an adept boater already.
The Canal & River Trust also offers a great free Boater’s Handbook which we highly recommend you watch in preparation for your arrival.
